Andrew "Andy" Gabler is the Founder and CEO of Nouveau Riche, a new LA fashion forward brand that focuses on bringing the edge of street-wear to the contemporary woman. His first introduction to the world of creativity and design was through his mother. She is an interior designer who instilled the fundamentals of creativity in Andy. Growing up his love for the arts grew stronger. He attended high school at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, in Golden Valley, Minnesota, where he concentrated in Visual Arts. During high school, Andy really developed his skills as an artist. He had been commissioned for his art pieces and successfully launched two gallery openings. When he graduated he decided to follow his true passion and pursue a career in Fashion.
In 2007, Andy went off on his own and moved to Los Angeles. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in Merchandise Product Development. During college he had interned at the Barbara Fields Buying Office, a trend forecasting agency supplying department store buyers like Macy's and JCPenny with reports on worldwide fashion trends for future years. For the past five years Andy has lived in the hub of the west coast fashion industry allowing him to indulge in his creativity, while gaining hands-on career experiences. He has designed for mass market fashion, attended buying trips and styled for fashion shows, A-list celebrities, Oscar Parties, and look books. Andy also gained extensive knowledge of the industry and design when he was an assistant designer for David Lerner, an NYU graduate who started his own contemporary women's wear collection. Lerner's collection accentuates women's basic wear making simple items more luxurious that comfort, fit and flatter the modern woman. Andy has also been at the forefront of fashion by working at the retail styling and management level positions for Ann Taylor Beverly Hills and BCBG Max Azria Robertson. Rather than suffocating his creativity in corporate fashion, Andy liberated himself and flourished with his collections at Nouveau Riche.
